Martina SanDiego
Martina SanDiego of Ivy Rose America's Got Talent fame now pursuing a solo music career, will perform a mix of covers and tracks from her debut CD Blank Walls.
Born in Glendale, California but raised in Northern Virginia, Martina San Diego began singing at the young age of three and picked up the piano and guitar not too long after. Exposed to music at a young age and encouraged by her family, she began writing songs at 15 years old.
The summer before her Sophomore year of high school, she became the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the all female band, Ivy Rose. In addition to releasing two albums, This Adventure (2010) and Rain (2012), Ivy Rose has opened up for Weezer and Ben Folds at the University of Maryland’s Byrd Stadium, been featured on local news stations such as ABC7 and FOX5 and were contestant’s on America’s Got Talent 2012.
After graduating high school, Martina opted to take a sabbatical in which she spent nine months getting in touch with her roots in the Philippines. While there, she was able to record and release her solo debut album, entitled Blank Walls under 22 Tango Records. Inspired by different life experiences, the album reflects her unique fusion of folk and alternative songwriting.
Currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at New York University, Martina hopes to continue inspiring people through music.
